Appetite does not come from showing everything. It comes from revealing the right detail at the right moment.
The Diwan Halab reel series moves between preparation, serving, sauce, ingredient texture, complete dishes, and the heat of the grill.
The challenge was to adapt the treatment to each product without making the content repetitive or visually disconnected.
THE CREATIVE CHALLENGE
No single shot can present every product in the way it deserves.
What creates desire for a sandwich is different from what reveals a mixed grill, the texture of a sauce, or the movement of food over an open flame.
Using the same treatment for every product would have made the series predictable. Changing the visual language completely would have made each piece feel unrelated to the others.
THE DECISION
Keep the system consistent. Change the appetite cue.
Each reel was built around the detail that gives its product the strongest presence:
• Preparation reveals what goes into the product.
• Hand-held presentation communicates scale and proximity.
• Sauce introduces texture and movement.
• Complete dishes reveal range and abundance.
• Grilling uses heat and flame as direct evidence of preparation.
The leading element changes, while the visual language remains consistent.
THE REEL SYSTEM
Instead of forcing different products into an overcrowded edit, the experience was divided into distinct visual roles.
Each reel begins with one clear appetite cue, develops it through movement, and ends with an unmistakable view of the product.
This gives every dish its own space while allowing the series to present a wider menu without repeating the same idea.
DIRECTION AND EDITING
The camera moves closer when texture is the evidence and pulls wider when scale, variety, or composition becomes part of the product's value.
The edit follows authentic movements such as holding, pouring, serving, and grilling instead of imposing transitions unrelated to the food.
The energy therefore comes from the product itself: heat, movement, and proximity to detail.
SELECTED WORK
The series presents different products and preparation moments without losing clarity or consistency.
We did not attempt to compress the entire menu into a single reel.
We separated desire into clear reasons to order.
