Nara
We did not present flavours as a list of options. We turned each one into a world to explore.
This case study features three selected designs from a broader body of work created by Matrix for Nara, connecting flavour variety with mood, experience, and discovery.
THE CHALLENGE
How can we showcase a range of flavours without turning the designs into a product catalogue?
The challenge was to keep each drink clearly visible while giving every flavour a distinct character—not simply presenting it as a different colour inside the cup.
THE DECISION
Each flavour has its own space. Every space belongs to Nara’s world.
The designs used light, colour, and texture to translate the character of each drink into a distinct scene, while the packaging remained the consistent element connecting the collection.
THE ROLE OF EACH DESIGN
A World of Flavours — The drinks were placed across different architectural spaces, presenting the range as a world of choices rather than a row of products.
The Spectrum of Choice — Reflections and a light prism transformed the flavours’ colours into a visual spectrum that guided the eye between the drinks and encouraged discovery.
Peach & Jasmine — Golden tones and surrounding ingredients created a warm, rich expression of the flavour—one that could be sensed before it was tasted.
THE RESULT
The collection presented Nara as a world where flavour and mood could change while the visual identity remained consistent.
We did not create three beverage advertisements.
We created three ways to discover Nara.
